Cartoon Network (Portugal) : ウィキペディア英語版
Cartoon Network (Portugal)

Cartoon Network, commonly abbreviated as CN, is a Portuguese digital cable and satellite television channel launched on December 3, 2013〔http://www.zon.pt/tv/canais/Pages/Cartoon-Network.aspx〕 and owned by Turner Broadcasting System Europe (a semi-autonomous unit of Time Warner). Currently, Cartoon Network is the second most-watched kids and teens' channel in Portugal, recently surpassing Canal Panda and is now only behind Disney Channel.
==History==
The feed (Pan-European) received in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique was transmitted for a long time (from the 17th of September 1993 to the 3rd of December 2013), that is also received in countries that don't have their own version of the channel.
The Portuguese-language version of the channel was launched on October 1, 2013 in Angola and Mozambique.〔http://www.themarketingsite.com/news/34564/turner-to-launch-cartoon-network-in-portuguese-in-angola-and-mozambique〕
From 3 December 2013, the channel was officially launched in Portugal on all cable operators, switching the Pan-European version (in English).〔 On the same day it was launched, the channel started transmitting in the 16:9 image format. It is believed that the channel switched feeds due to the low ratings the previous feed was suffering in the past few years. The Pan-European English feed was removed from ZON (currently NOS) basic cable services, along with other foreign language international channels on February 1, 2010, and Portuguese-language Panda Biggs included in its place.〔(Panda Biggs e FOX no Clássico da ZON )〕
When the Pan-European feed was still transmitted, the daily broadcast was of 15 hours (from 05:00 to 20:00) in Portugal. From that time, the channel was airing first with TNT, focusing on classic movies and professional wrestling, and in the final years with Turner Classic Movies. Some cable TV operators preferred dividing the two channels with their own dial (some with a description of their opening and closing times). Shortly after the release of Portugal's version of the channel, TCM and Boomerang (EMEA) stopped being aired in Portugal.
Around February 2014, the channel started airing advertisements, but in March 2014, they stopped airing them, returning in the mid of the month.
Cartoon Network Portugal was also the first European CN to adopt the ''CHECK it 3.0'' branding.
